Summary
LGBTQI+ people at risk of persecution have been effectively trapped in dangerous and life-threatening conditions due to a barrage of Trump administration policies, bi-lateral agreements, and executive orders. In 2025, CGE and members Human Rights First, ORAM, Rainbow Railroad and Immigration Equality highlighted some of the countless stories of LGBTQI+ individuals caught in the administration’s cruel crusade to dismantle the U.S. asylum and resettlement structures, undermine international law, and attack LGBTQI+ persons.
